A veritable Sims smorgasbord.
In the last Sims broadcast before Gamescom, EA revealed their announce trailer for the final Sims 3 expansion pack before the much awaited release of next years Sims 4.
Producers demonstrated a brief walkthrough of the expansion, named The Sims 3: Into the Future, which is based upon (yep, you guessed it) time travel. ITF features plumbots (I see what you did there, EA, and I kinda like it), hovercars and portals to the future. There were a few technical hitches, and the demo was cut short due to this, but fans were promised to a rescheduled demo as soon as possible.
Also covered was a brief demo of the brand new Sims Store venue, which is some sort of groovy bistro, and is fully interactive, as a result as a recent petition by Sims fans.
As well as this, fans gained a sneak peak into the upcoming stuff pack, The Sims 3: Movie Stuff, which is based on not one, but three themes – Western, Heroes and Villains, and Horror.
Finally, The Sims 4. Producer Graham Nardone let slip a few behind the scenes photos of the development team – hinting that the fourth base game will be heavily focused on the emotions side of The Sims. In The Sims 4 chat, also announced the date of the first look at footage of the game at this years Gamescom. Get August 22nd jotted down on your calendars, everyone!
