Assassin’s Creed 4 director wants to visit ancient Egypt

Ashraf Ismail, the creative director who worked on Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag, tells us he wants to take our rooftop assassinations all the way back to ancient egypt.

“Ancient Egypt could be a really cool place. We have a really cool explanation for how we can do this, and it is with this Animus device that allows us to go to anytime in history.”

Ubisoft has taken their Assassins Creed series all over the globe. We’ve seen places like Italy, the Middle East, Turkey and the US. It would be extremely exciting to see one of the upcoming games in the series to be set in ancient Egypt although to do not expect to see it in Assassin’s Creed 5. Assassin’s Creed 4 has taken 2 and a half years to complete and the series is released annually, We probably won’t see the beautiful Egypt setting until at least 2016.

Ubisoft have their own list of events in history they would like to visit. Along with Medieval China, Victorian England and the Russian Revolution, Ancient Egypt is a place they have on their mind. Who knows, our protagonist may visit Egypt briefly in their next game.

Where would you like to see the Assassins Creed series go to in the near future? One of the times and places above or do you have another setting in mind that you would love to climb around?
