Remember that buggy, zombie survival Arma II mod, Day Z? Of course you do! Bohemia Interactive have now turned their very successful mod a standalone game.
Unfortunately, the game is still in testing and can be found on Steam’s Early Access part of the store. Bohemia warn the potential customers about purchasing Early Access Day Z Standalone.
“DayZ Early Access is your chance to experience DayZ as it evolves throughout its development process. Be aware that our Early Access offer is a representation of our core pillars, and the framework we have created around them. It is a work in progress and therefore contains a variety of bugs. We strongly advise you not to buy and play the game at this stage unless you clearly understand what Early Access means and are interested in participating in the ongoing development cycle.”
If you purchase Day Z Standalone at this time in its development then complain that it does not work properly, you sir are a bad man… or woman.
The Day Z creators also stated that if their game is a success, a console port may be released. They say ‘if’ and yet we all know that it will be an extremely popular game, especially after all the promotion via Youtubers. Who knows, you might even see a bunch of us from Gamer UK give it a shot!
