Back in early February, Forza Motorsport 5 was awarded with the Racing Game of the Year title at the 2014 DICE Awards. Forza Motorsport 5: GOTY Edition has been announced by Turn 10 Studios and is coming to Xbox One at £50/$60 on the 22nd of July.
In addition to the original Forza 5 content, the GOTY edition will feature 18 of the Xbox One’s tracks and a Top Gear car pack with multiple downloadable vehicles.
The Game of the Year Edition reveal isn’t the only Forza news at the moment. Earlier Microsoft announced Forza Horizon 2 which will be available on both the Xbox 360 and Xbox One later this year.
Playground Games announced that the new Forza Horizon game will display at 1080p on the Xbox One. Forza Horizon 2 will also run at a locked 30fps just like the original Forza Horizon did.
“a locked frame rate that’s absolutely solid and never drops is the most important thing for our game”
says Ralph Fulton, the Creative Director at Playground Games.
Forza Motorsport 5 releases July 22nd and Forza Horizon 2‘s spesific release date has still to be announced.
