Oh yes, it’s finally happening: Grand Theft Auto V will hit the PS4 platform this autumn, on October 28th.

Over a year will have passed since the game was originally released exclusively to Xbox 360 and PS3 users, and though no release date has yet been announced for the PC and Xbox One platforms estimates likely point to a release just after this PS4 version launch in October.

Rockstar have also confirmed that multiplayer progress on GTA Online will be transferable from either an Xbox 360 or PS3 console to the PS4 version of the game, meaning all those hours of races, deathmatching, and pushing NPCs off the top of Mount Chiliad won’t be for naught.
