Ubisoft Apologise with Free DLC for Assassins Creed Unity Owners

Today Ubisoft Montreal CEO Yannis Mallet apologised on behalf of Ubisoft on their live updates page. The apology regards the state of Assassins Creed Unity and its infamous launch and how they would like to make it up to the owners of AC: Unity.

Here are samples of what Montreal CEO Mallet had to say:

Unfortunately, at launch, the overall quality of the game was diminished by bugs and unexpected technical issues. I want to sincerely apologize on behalf of Ubisoft and the entire Assassin’s Creed team.

To show our appreciation for your continued support, we’re making the upcoming Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC free for everyone.

The apology from Mallet follows the update on Assassins Creed Unity’s Patch 3 that should come to consoles today and PC later this week. Read more about AC Unity’s 3rd patch on Gamer UK.

If you are a season pass holder for Assassins Creed Unity, you are probably still very disappointed seeing as you already paid for the DLC, maybe the following will tend your wounds. Ubisoft are giving all AC Unity season pass holders another Ubisoft title for free!

The list of free games that should be available to all season pass holders:

  • Far Cry 4
  • The Crew
  • Watch Dogs
  • Assassin’s Creed Black Flag
  • Rayman Legends
  • Just Dance 2015

I think everyone can safely assume that Far Cry 4 will be the most requested game throughout all the Unity season pass holders, what would you pick?

Let us know what you think about this apology! Does free DLC or a free Ubisoft game as a season pass holder satisfy you enough to forgive Ubisoft after this terrible launch?
